Updated: Nov 13, 2023

Congratulations to Janete Francisco on her remarkable achievements at the 2023 IDO (International Dance Organisation) World Hip Hop, Popping, Breakdance and All-Styles Battles Championships, held in Kielce, Poland. Janete obtained her official Protea colours awarded by SABOD (South African Body of Dance) in association with The Federation of Dance Sport South Africa, ahead of representing South Africa in 3 categories at the IDO World Championship - Hip Hop Solo, Popping Solo and All-Styles Battles. Janete placed 4th out of a staggering 160 competitors in the Hip Hop Solo category. She also managed a 5th place out of 86 competitors in the All-Styles Battles category, being eliminated in the Quarter-Finals. As DanceIt Studios, we are proud of Janete's remarkable achievements.

DanceIt Studios also had Nikhita Lalla making her World Hip Hop, Popping, Breakdance and All-Styles Battles Championships debut in the Hip Hop Solo and Popping Solo categories. Nikhita truly embraced the stage with strong energy and confidence as she took on 160 competitors in the Hip Hop Solo category and 64 competitors in the Popping Solo category. We at DanceIt are incredibly proud of the commitment and dedication shown by Nikhita throughout the year as she, too, obtained her official Protea colours awarded by SABOD (South African Body of Dance) in association with The Federation of Dance Sport South Africa. We look forward to many more appearances on the World stage for Nikhita.

The IDO broke a record in 2023, with the World Hip Hop, Popping, Breakdance and All-Styles Battles Championships being the largest, recorded number of entries at an IDO World Championship in history, with a whopping 4 600 competitors from 38 Nations. IDO is truly the pinnacle of Dance Sport competition and just qualify to represent your country at this prestigious event is remarkable in itself.

It is always our goal at DanceIt to ensure our athletes are given the best training and opportunities to pursue their goals. You too can perform on the World Stage! All it takes is undeniable passion, dedication and commitment to yourself and your skills. We look forward to what lies in store for our DanceIt Competition Squad for 2024 and hope to see many more of our superstars on the World stage!
