Our Open Classes are weekly classes which differ each week in the dance topic/technique that will be covered. These classes aim at targeting Technique, Foundation and Fundamentals within the various dance disciplines to enable the dancers with capabilities to venture into exams, competitions, shows and so on. These classes are imperative to the growth of a dancer as they are learning fundamental tools required.

Exams are offered in Tap, Modern and Hip Hop under the South African Body of Dance (SABOD) syllabus structure. RAD for Ballet exams. Exams are hosted by the studio, during which students are evaluated by a professional SABOD/RAD examiner and receive feedback and credit for their accomplishments. Associate Level completion can be utilized for resume builders, or as pre-cursors for entry into dance teaching or dance teaching accreditation programs. In addition, exams of all levels teach students valuable lessons in time management, discipline memorization, professionalism, and goal setting.

At DanceIt Studios, we are proud of our accolades, achievements and memories created through our involvement in the competitive sphere of dance sport. Our Competition Squad is made up of dancers from the Novice (beginner) stage of their competition career right through to Championship (Advanced) and World Trial Circuit (Dance Sport Athletes). Our high-performance training programs aim to give our dancers the opportunity to obtain their Provincial and Protea colours through our association to the South African Body of Dance (SABOD), who in turn is an affiliate member of Dance Sport South Africa, the recognized dance body under SASCOC (the official sporting colours awarding body).  We realize that each individual has their own level to reach, and we aim to nurture our dancers to cater to the best of what we believe they can achieve.

Competitions are offered to students with several years of dance experience and typically take place from April to November. Competitions provide an opportunity for our students to perform onstage and share their talents with others. Students receive feedback for their performances and may receive awards and various other accolades for their efforts. Competitions also provide our dancers with the opportunities to connect with other dancers from across the provinces and globe. Training for competitions teaches our students the value of teamwork and requires them to be committed and dedicated to their team. Training for competitions also develops student professionalism, adaptability, time management, and teaches children how to manage stress and pressure in a healthy way.

Our social classes are offered in adult beginners Hip Hop, adult beginners Tap. All social classes are for beginners and purely for the FITNESS & FUN!
