Our DanceIt Competition Squad athletes shine at the SABOD National Championships!


We are so proud of our DanceIt Competition Squad athletes who participated in the South African Body of Dance (SABOD) National Championships in Performing Arts & Street Dance (Tap, Hip Hop, Popping, All-Styles Battles) last weekend. They competed against the best dancers in the country and came out on top, earning their Gauteng provincial colours and ranking amongst the best in the country.



Our DanceIt Competition Squad athletes were outstanding in all categories, here are our results:

Performing Arts

Tap Solo Female Adult: Sarah vd Spuy 2nd.

Tap Duo Adult: 2nd Sarah vd Spuy & Simone Klaasen.




Street Dance

Hip Hop Solo Female Jnr 2: Senzi Nzimande 2nd.

Hip Hop Solo Male Jnr 2: William Mangena 1st.

Hip Hop Solo Female Adult: Veronique Bula-Bula 2nd, Janete Francisco 3rd, Nikhita Lalla 5th.

Hip Hop Duo Adult: Nikhita Lalla & Dashania Pillay 2nd.

Popping Solo Female Children: Alexis Joseph 1st.

Popping Solo Junior 2 Male: William Mangena 1st.

Popping Solo Female Adult: Janete Francisco 1st, Nikhita Lalla 2nd.

All-Styles Solo Junior 2: William Mangena 1st.

All-Styles Solo Adult: Janete Francisco 1st.


These DanceIt Competition Squad dancers have worked incredibly hard to achieve this level of success, and we are so proud of them. They are an inspiration to us all, and we know that they will continue to achieve great things in the future.


We are also grateful to our DanceIt Competition Squad coaches and trainers for their dedication and support. They have played a huge role in helping our DanceIt Competition Squad athletes reach their full potential.


We wish our DanceIt Competition Squad and Team South Africa athletes all the best as they embark on representing their country at the International Dance Organisation (IDO) World Championships. We know that they will make us proud.

About the International Dance Organisation (IDO) World Championships

The International Dance Organisation (IDO) World Championships is the most prestigious dance competition in the world. It is held every year in a different country, and attracts dancers from all over the globe. The International Dance Organization (IDO), is a non profit World Dance - and Dancesport Federation consisting of over 90 member and contact Nations, representing more than 500,000 dancers, from all 6 continents.


The competition is divided into several championships, including Tap, Hip Hop, Popping, and All-Styles Battles.

Our dancers will be competing against the best dancers in the world, but we know that they are up for the challenge. They have trained hard and are ready to represent South Africa with pride.
